OsteoMedica
In the treatments we focus on manual therapy and targeted exercises. We combine techniques such as joint mobilization and manipulation, McKenzie, massage, acupuncture, trigger points, kinesiology tape and exercises. Each patient is different, so each treatment is very personal and selected for specific problems.
Kinesiology Tape was developed in Japan 1980s and has been successfully applied worldwide as complement to many classical therapies to prevent muscular tensions etc. Taping uses the body’s own healing process and is almost free from side effects.

Female pain is often a taboo. In our clinic we give you the opportunity to open up to your problem and provide effective manual treatment with an osteopathic perspective, but of course we will also support our therapy with exercise training and good advice for pain management on a daily basis. Gynecological problems often have different causes. They may be related to hormone balance or related to dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system. Our role as 3rd year students in osteopathy will be to find the cause of the disorder, not just work on symptoms. After such a holistic treatment your body will find the right way to find your balance again.
What can we help you with
Sometimes training is not enough to restore the full function of the body after surgery. It is in fact necessary to take care of the strength as well as the mobility of the tissues. Scar tissue usually is active up to 2 years after surgery, and if not treated can cause stiffness and pain not only in the scar area, but in the long run also in other structures. We are not talking about only orthopedic surgery but also scar tissue from Appendix Removal or from C section can give you pain in the low back or in the shoulders area, due to the compensations that our body needs to make because of lack of mobility between the layers of the tissues. Manual therapy and scars treatment can help to improve this aspect, preventing future problems and pain, before it becomes chronic.
That is why in our clinic we would like to give you service focusing on proper education and manual therapy on scar tissue beside post-operational training program. To keep you away from future problems due to surgical intervention.
We advise you to book you appointment around 4 weeks after surgery
It is a massage technique that’s mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries.
It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues.
This helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury, reduce tension in muscle and tissue and remove fluid accumulation.
Massage can also: counteract stress, lower blood pressure, stimulate blood circulation, relieve pain, inflammations and tension headaches.
It is an excellent solution for people who lead an active lifestyle and would like to unload all the tensions that accumulate in the muscles after exercise.
Rehabilitation is the functional training to get your abilities back or regain independence.
You need rehabilitation after surgery, injury or if you have muscles weakness after a long illness.
Choose training, based on Core Stability and stretch exercises, to prevent future injuries or back pain.
OBS: If you are interested in training, we advise you to book 1. Consultation with our physiotherapist to get more information, or call/write us info@osteomedica.dk, +45 42 74 04 33
Physio training
Our lives have become more and more sedentary as we use tech to make our lives easier. Staying in the same position all day or at the office can have a detrimental effect on the body by creating muscular imbalances. These imbalances can then lead to back pain, neck strain, and other postural issues.
Our physio training will be focused on core stability, body mobility and stretching, to build awareness of alignment, to strengthen your postural muscles and to keep you flexible, in order to help you out dealing with your chronic problems, even if you do have a sedentary job
The classes will be in English.
Time Wednesdays at 19.
Pregnancy is making woman’s body change. Is obvious, but those changes can lead to many problems afterwards. Is important to work on that as good before as after pregnancy in order to avoid many problems in the future.
Our post-pregnancy training is designed to restore muscle strength in pelvic floor after delivery but also we will focus on prevention of other pain as back, neck and shoulders which are in risk of continuous, often bad positions during the day. After our program you will know more about anatomy, physiology, advice how to work with scares after c-section and, of course, how to continue training later on.
If you have delivered you baby by c-section, you should wait with training 6-8 weeks. After natural birth, you can sign up for training already after 4 weeks.
